Robert Bentz, AICP, APA, RLA, CLARB Certified Landscape Architect, Principal
Since the establishment of Land Design South in 1985 and his licensing as a Landscape Architect, Robert Bentz has made a significant impact on land planning in South Florida. Bob is responsible for the management, administration and project development aspects of the firm. He presides over the firm's internal design review process and coordinates selected projects. He has extensive experience with the zoning and site plan submittal process throughout South Florida. He also has experience in the design of large scale mixed-use developments, Planned Unit Developments, regional shopping malls, commercial centers, hotels, schools, churches, and industrial parks.
In addition to directing the professional staff, he assumes major responsibility for coordinating governmental and regulatory issues for projects. He secures DRI, rezonings, PUD and other special exception approvals for numerous projects. Bob has worked with many of the largest builders in South Florida and various private clients and municipalities, as well as directly with the Florida Department of Transportation as a consultant. He has been retained as an expert witness for the FDOT on numerous cases that have gone to trial. Bob is a CLARB Certified Landscape Architect and certified planner.
